Profusely illustrated and inscribed on the half title page by Gipson this is the story of the Langford family and its homestead on Texas final frontier: Big Bend country. Light brown cloth hardcover in about good condition, with a red illustration on the front board and red text on the spine; a bit of rubbing to boards; light shelf wear and dust-spotting; moderate bumping to unbound corners and spine extremes. Binding is tight and square; illustrated endpapers are clean; interior is very clean, with just an occasional dust-spot. Author s inscription is the only mark. Pictorial jacket is about good(-), now protected in archival cover; rubbing and soiling; some open tearing; wear to edges; unclipped: front flap bears $3.50 original price. A very scarce collectible for the collector of Texana. $175.

Blue/gray cloth hardcover in fine condition; illustration tipped to front board; sharp corners and clean boards; spine is tight and square; interior is pristine. Illustrated endpapers are clean and crisp. $550.

Jacket is housed in archival cover; unclipped; wear at edges and folds; mild rubbing; a touch of jaggedness at top and bottom of spine; colors on front jacket panel are still bold and vibrant.
